After the Stampede Western Art Show one year June's husband and she were traveling through Colorado into Wyoming through the Snowy Range. They had been following the Poudre River and taking some back roads to see the countryside. They were not disappointed. Traveling along a dirt road they came upon this beautiful scene with five horses getting a drink in this river with the sunlight hitting on it and sparkling like diamonds. It was a scene June knew she had to paint the minute sje saw it. It was just awesome! The Snowy Range was in the background with the sunlight hitting on the horses and water, and she loved it!
