June's very dear friends, the Peters' family, are like family to her, and she has painted many of them many times from the grandfather down to the grandchildren. This is the grandfather, although when she photographed him he was a young father who along with his beautiful wife, Bettie, was raising four beautiful girls. Duane and Bettie Peters have helped her out many times in her paintings by posing for photo shoots along with supplying props and their own horses. This one is of Duane and his horse in a setting in the Texas Hill Country in the Sabinal Canyon. It is such a rugged, peaceful, beautiful place with water rippling over white rocks and limestone cliffs. In the fall the scenery is spectacular as it is here. Being here on a horse is nothing short of the good life.
