Crack of Dawn

June has done a lot of research in and around Marble Falls in the Texas Hill Country.  Creeks and rivers there run crystal clear over rocky bottoms and with hills in the distance the scenery is always beautiful.  June has driven by this creek many times and photographed it many times.  Sometimes in the hot, dry summertime this creek becomes dry because it isn't very deep.  Sunrises and sunsets make it especially beautiful.  Looking west as the sun was setting June found she had to try to capture this scene on canvas.  She then added her son's new paint horse and colt to it to give it added interest.

It is always challenging trying to capture sunrises or sunsets to even come close to God's majestic paintbrush, but always it is worth trying knowing we can give it our best shot.  It is always rewarding to June to try to put on canvas some of the beauty God has created for us here on Earth.
