What little girl doesn't love playing with puppies, especially Aussies? June's granddaughter, McKenna, the same little girl who is in Boss Lady, has always loved playing with any animal, especially puppies, Horses, & kittens. As she has grown up she has raised her fair share of animals to show in 4-H, and she has always done very well. She has raised, trained, & shown rabbits, chickens, pigs, sheep, steers, heifers,& probably others as she has participated & auctioned off many animals while putting her money into her college scholarship fund. June always loved the way McKenna looked in her jeans, just a little cowgirl for sure. With her Great Pau-Paw's old cowboy hat on her head playing with these two little Aussies she was so compelling that June just had to capture her on canvas once again.
For June, painting this was a combination of memories about her own youth and growing up as her dad's cowgirl. She could tell you many stories about this painting and that time of her own life, but she is sure you have your own memories this painting brings to life.
