For several years I have been able to join a group of artists in Moab, Utah at Red Cliff Lodge. The highlight of our trip other than being with the other artists & the camaraderie we share are the horseback rides we get to take. Thanks to Devon & Magdalena Dixon who operate Red Cliff Horses we get to go to amazing John Wayne country to ride in canyons, valleys, mountains, etc. Last year Devon paused in front of this huge boulder & I knew I had to paint this. He is so great & comfortable on a horse, & his horse is gorgeous.
