Canyon Colors

Palo Duro Canyon is located in north Texas just south of Amarillo.  A couple of art friends and I flew up to do a week of plein air painting in the canyon.  Such fun!  I ended up selling every single plein air piece I painted.  I was especially drawn to this scene with the colors I love to paint.  To me they are very harmonious with all the varying shades of violets, blues, and greens.
