"Early Morning Ride" was a commission for collectors who live in Canada & Tucson. They already had four of June's originals and contacted me about a specific painting they wanted. They were interested in a landscape with water, rocks, and trees and wanted cowboys in yellow slickers and some livestock in it. After discussing several images with them they decided on this scene with early morning lighting. This is a scene in Lost Maples with the Sabinal River flowing through it. Local ranchers & life long friends, Bubba Peters & son, Jeff Peters, are the figures in the painting. It made a great setting for this painting and June loved the early morning lighting in it. She sincerely appreciated the opportunity to do this commission for them.
