Double Dog Dare

Double Dog Dare has June's two grandsons who are brothers, Chance & Braxton, in it.  "We were at my parents' house when I noticed they were on the house side of the cattle guard and the young heifers were on the other side like they were in a show down," June states &

for years she wanted to paint this, but couldn't decide on a good title to make it tell a story.  All grown up now & both married now, Chance was at June's with his bride when she showed her the photograph while relating the story behind the photograph.  Laura nailed it in a heartbeat saying, "Double Dog Dare" which June has no doubt they were contemplating.  Sometimes the title makes the painting, & once June had that she proceeded getting it on to canvas.
