This is a scene very typical of the county June grew up in, Grimes County in Texas, on a warm summer day. June has driven by this beautiful old house many times. It is on the historical register in Texas. Onc day she & an art friend were out plein air painting & they decided to paint this scene outside the fence near the highway. This probably wasn't the smartest, safest decision they ever made, but they did okay. June finished this up in her studio, but she loved the looseness of it that she got from painting outdoors looking at it.
