Beyond the River Bend

Around the River Bend is the first pure landscape June has painted in a while.  Being a landscape painter first & foremost she doesn't want to venture too far from her first love.  In the fall of the year the cottonwood, sycamore, and cypress trees turn beautiful yellows, golds, & oranges out in the Texas Hill Country with their colors reflecting in the waters & rivers of that region whether it's the Guadalupe, the Pecos, the Blanco, or the Neuces River.  Capturing that autumn feeling was a challenge reflecting those colors in the running waters of the Guadalupe River, where in places the water was still enough to capture the reflecting colors, but in other places the water was running too swift for any reflections.  What June hopes is that you can put yourself into this painting with your feet cooling off in this shallow, cool water.
